Re: killer b oil pan, pickup, and baffle DIY install!

Went to try this today, spent about 4 hours trying to get the adhesive to break loose on the pan with no luck, then gave up. Any suggestions?

did you try with a rigid putty knife and/or flat head and pressure, gently of course?

Yep, tried both. Neither work, even tried a hammer with them lol. Its like freaking cement. If worse comes to worse I'll just take it somewhere and let them deal with it haha.

Bump. I'm planning on doing the pan/pickup/baffle install today is it necessary to unbolt the dipstick to uninstall/reinstall it in the pan? I have a 2011 WRX and I'm pretty sure i have to unbolt the air pump to get to it but i didn't see it mentioned and it looks like its already gone in the pictures. If it is necessary to is it just a few bolts and its out of the way? And other than that I'll just unbolt what the service manual says to and watch the ac lines. Anything else? Thanks ahead of time.
