Presented by Subaru of America, Central Region

Saturday, August 21st, 2010

Event Format

This is a one-day event.

Entry Fee: $48.00, paid in advance at www.myautoevents.com

Subaru vehicles only.

Must register by August 17, 2010.

Lunch is catered on-site.

You get goodies courtesy of Subaru Central Region.

Trophies are awarded at the end of the event.

The event will be split up into a Morning session and an Afternoon session. Each session will consist of two Heats (1 & 2). Each heat gets 2-3 runs depending on time and number of entries. You’ll have plenty of seat time to learn the course and get your car sorted out. Keep this in mind and plan accordingly. Your fastest run counts.

**NEW UPDATE: Subaru Central Region is pleased to announce a SIA plant tour incentive, free of charge, to the first 30 entrants in the 2010 Subaru driving challenge. The plant tour will take place on Friday August 20th, 2010 at 6PM. That is the Friday before the event. Each driver who qualifies will be notified by the region once we reach that magic number. We will be keeping track of the registrations as they happen. All you need to do is show up the night before.

***NEW UPDATE II: The Marriott Courtyard in Lafayette has agreed to give anyone who is a Subaru Challenge participant a group rate discount of $89.00 per night. If you would like to take advantage of this situation please contact the hotel directly at 765-449-4800 and ask for Jake Chapman. Mention promo code SOAC and you will receive this rate. This hotel is a very short distance from SIA. On Fairington Ave.

Check-In and Tech Inspection

All competitors should be on-site no later than 8:30AM Saturday morning to allow time to get you checked-in, in grid and allow enough time for tech inspection. We expect all cars to be in grid by 8:45AM. Check-in will be on site and open at 7:45AM Saturday morning.

Please arrive between 7:45 and 8:45AM. Check-in will close promptly at 8:45AM, so we have enough time to organize timing and scoring for first car off by 9:15AM. Tech inspection will be in grid. You’ll need your helmet for tech inspection. When you arrive in grid, open your hood, trunk, leave your helmet in the driver’s seat and your registration card under your windshield wiper. If you need a loaner helmet there will be a few available on-site – write “loaner helmet” in the upper right corner of your registration card to note this.

Run Order

To be determined by Indy SCCA Event Chair.

For two driver cars, 2nd driver may be bumped to the other Heat at the discretion of the event Chair. Two driver cars are required to use a two-digit number for the first driver and a “1” in front of the two digit number for the second driver – for instance 94 and 194.

You will run in class order, sorted numerically. Lower numbered cars run first.

Work Assignments

If you run morning session, you work afternoon session.

If you run afternoon session, you work morning session.

Note that you are required to work your required session or you will be disqualified.

Grid Assignments

There will be two Grids, Grid A and Grid B. Grid assignments will be available when you check-in. We will be pre-staging all cars in grid, which means you have to have your car in grid before you report to your work assignment.

Course Walks

The course will be open for walking during the following times:

8:15AM – 8:45AM

Lunch break

The course will not be open for walking between Heats.
