    loosing my mind trying to snake new speaker wire through the door

    Title is pretty self explanatory....already tore both speaker wires that run through....can't get my snake all the way through. It's been 3 hrs so far. Got the other door done in 20mins this one is killing me. Any suggestions? My snake is getting blocked at the top or bottom grommet depending on which way I enter from the door or side panel.

    I'm guessing you got this figured out already, but if not. Clothes hanger, bent out straight. Tape the end of your speaker wire to it real good and make sure any sharp ends are covered with electrical tape. Stick just a bit of WD40 or grease on it (not enough to make a mess) and it should slide right through that rubber tube. Prior to pushing it through, pull each end of the tube off the plastic holder thingy (technical term) on each end. Hope any of that makes sense, haha.

    i just ripped the gromet out then put it back in after i got the wire through it.
    2015 DGM WRX Limited..... cars not even here and the mod list is to long to list.

    yea I did get it through...took 3hr's and got cuts all over my hand....used a snake had my wife hold one of the grommets. For next time, I will know better to use some sort of lube.
