    Electrical Help Needed!!!

So I wired my boost and oil pressure gauges in my sti sedan the same exact way as my old wrx...
Turned the key to accessory and they lit up and were working. I had the ground
to a bolt behind the gauge hood, power to the 12v acc/switched, and illumination
to the Illumination dimmer wire both to the radio harness wiring. Since i was
testing this I made the mistake of just twisting the bare wires together (ILL
Dim and 12v) and i accidently touched them together. Now they dont light up any
more.... Checked the in cabin fuses and couldnt find any blown. Whatever ...I
can still reach the mechanical boost gauge and I figured Id just mess with it
    later.

Now part 2 and the real issue. Im trying to wire up a 6ch line out converter/line driver for my
new audio setup. Its a cache coe6 and I have it tapped to the same 12v
acc/switched for the remote in, and connected the other needed connections (12v
constant, remote out and ground). As expected when I turn the car on the unit is
not turning on. This leads me to believe the problem is with the 12v switched
line. Is there anything other than the fuse I should check? When I temporarily
plug the radio harness in the radio turns on when I turn the key to acc....
    Boggled.... any ideas?
