AEM Boost Gauge Install, pressure sensor brass fitting and where to put it?

No FINALLY getting around to installing the WBo2 and Boost gauges but, I have a small dilemma involving a couple of brass parts in the boost gauge box. It's the parts of the pressure sensor assembly . Where do I mount them? Am I supposed to drill a hole in the firewall and sandwich the firewall in between the male/female of this brass assembly, only leaving the part in the engine compartment for my vac hose to connect to and leaving the pressure sensor (orange female) end in the cabin?

I just don't want this big ass thing floating around somewhere in the engine bay held by a zip tie.

    Cheers,

    John

I did end up just zip tying the sensor to another line and I guess that will have to work. I'll look for another spot when I have time.

Also....the gauge is not picking up the signal from the sensor is the sensor failed the gas rag test. I have another sensor in route so I can determine of its the sensor or gauge. After speaking with AEM, I think the sensor was DOA:-(

I ran the vacuum hose into the car next to the fuse box. Then I attached the sensor to the hose and secured the sensor by the fuse box. Ran the wiring to the gauge from there. Everything worked great. You might try that. I called AEM and told them what I did and they said that was just fine.
