Hi,

I bought my 5-door (Sports Package) last October and only recently discovered this forum! This is my first car and I love it, just too bad I couldn't afford a WRX ;) It's my daily driver and LOVED having AWD this winter. Next winter, I plan to ditch those RE92s and get some real snow tires.

I've ordered a Kartboy SS + brushing for Christmas, but I'm waiting for warmer weather to install it. I also plan on picking up some front and rear sways soon probably from Ralitek (after learning about them here!)

Come complaints I've had (I've gotten 3 loaners so far but for all minor things)
1) Rattles in the A-piller - Dealer added some silicon to eliminate / reduce rattle. They gave me an 07 Impreza.
2) I think water froze on my e-brake making them stick every time I used them. (Very loud clunk when moving after parking and took some gas to 'break' free). - By the time I brought it in, we had a day of above freezing temps and my e-brake was fine, but they still lubricated / cleaned it. Got an 08 Forester
3) Rattle where the radio is. They currently have my car, but got another 08 5-door as a loaner.
4) My left front signal bulb has gone out twice on me so far, but they always broke after I had an appointment with my dealer

welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear your troubles mate. The rattle around the stereo head unit has been talked about on here before. When I first bought my wrx the dealer installed the alarm incorrectly so I drove away from the dealership and as soon as I shut the engine off I couldn't get it started again. I called my sales guy up and he came to my house @ 11:30P.M and fixed it lol.

Welcome, were are you from exactly
and dont worry about "just having" a 2.5i.... my first car was a 10 year old Dodge Colt and was taking more oil than gaz... so consider yourself lucky...

I'm in London.

To be fair, this isn't my first car, but my first car that I've paid for. I used to drive my parent's old Ford Escort and Saturn.

Got a job in September and literally, on my first paycheck I bought a car lol

I was messing around with insurance quotes, and for me, it's cheaper to insure a STi over a WRX  ($2 less / month).

Logic and insurance are like oil and water. My WRX is more expensive to insure than my 40K loaded 4x4 was.......

I'm a first time Subaru owner too. From everything I read, rattles are par for the course on these things. The brake clunk is another thing that I've read a lot about. Apparently it is normal as well. Kudos for making the dealer work for their money though.
