So I just bought a used BOV and its coming in without a gasket. I was told I could use VTA silicone or get another gasket, but I noticed the OE gasket is much different than the gaskets that come with most BOV's. Am I ok using another OEM gasket? I just ordered one with my local subaru dealership. Thanks for reading. Also I know I technically shouldnt do this, but My car only has about 2k miles on it, would it be safe to reuse the OE gasket? Hmm I guess I might as well use the new one coming in actually...

I've reused the existing one quite a few times. It's not a crush type gasket but more of a rubber piece that flattens with clamping force.

I reused my OEM one when I changed my TMIC/BPV at 70k miles.

ok cool that's good to know...well considering a new oe gasket is $4 at my local subaru dealer, and they've already charged my CC, I guess I'll just reuse my old one and have a new one just in case something happens. Thanks for the reply guys, I really should have posted something up first before ordering that gasket :( oh well live and learn.
