I am going to look at this 08 WRX tomorrow (pic related.)
If it drives well and passes safety I am expecting to buy it (performing a compression test too). Seller says there is no A.C. and the clutch pedal started squeaking as of this week. I am going to get the repairs quoted but I want to know what to look for when buying this vehicle. I was looking at BMWs before so I don't know as much about Subarus.

Please let me know if there is anything to look for during the test drive, owner says the engine is stock, 170,000km on the car.
Also, the repair manual says minimum compression is 142PSI with less than 7psi of deviation. Is this realistic for a car this old? What should my cut off be before it's too bad?

Thanks for your time!
