So this weekend I took a rump in the mountains after some fresh snow fall and was reminded to the fact that the county here likes to dump dirt (with rock) on the road. After being pelted hard by a passing fool, I became interested in some front end protection for the winter months.

I found this official Subaru front end cover here:
https://www.subarugenuineparts.com/product_info.php?cPath=33_99_102&products_id=1302

However, it states:
THIS PART NOT APPLICABLE TO TURBO MODELS! NOT FOR TURBO!
Fits 2008 Impreza non turbo
Perhaps its because I'm so tired, but why would this cover not work on a WRX? I can see that the bottom may be slightly different, so why not be able use the hood only one? Thoughts?

Got an official response:

Hello
Thank you for your email

Subaru does not make a front cover for the WRX

reason: it will interfere with airflow both into the radiator and intercooler system
could result in overheating
item is not recommended for the turbo models

Please contact me with any other questions.
