Im going a different direction with my set-up. I bought this and it has been sitting in the garage doing nothing. I will give you guys first shot at it before I post it on legacygt.com. It came out of an 07 spec B legacy with around 11k miles on it. Has little or no shaft play and all collant lines and everything you need to instal. I picked this up for $400 plus shipping but I will let someone have it for $400 shipped in the lower 48 states. Local pickup is alright as well. Any questions just pm me.

Re: FS:(UT) VF-46

shouldnt need any aside from tune. On LGT, folks can pretty much max out the turbo w/ stock fuel system. The turbo looks to be in Utah.

Re: FS:(UT) VF-46

oh dear me that's a ways away, if im running stage 1 with an AP can I just plop this bad boy in in my garage and be done with it? Or should I seek a real tune, like open source or something afterwards?

It's either this or the AVO 380 which I understand needs some modding, I'm just looking for anything that would push me up to 300whp cheap and easy :) I'm current sitting at around 230ish and just want a little more...go!

Re: FS:(UT) VF-46

you can do an e-tune from Clark Turner, he has maps for 08 WRX w/ VF40 or VF46. Now, for numbers, the VF40 and VF46 does not flow that much better than a TD04. And it is very much still a mid-range type of turbo but from the dyno's I have seen, doesnt have the power fall as quickly in the upper RPM area. Here is a typical stage 2.5 LGT w/ a VF40.

I was there when the car was tuned and dynoed by Clark Turner and Dave Brown (both well known tuners). But note, this is a somewhat high reading dyno. Without using meth, or maxing out stock equipment, I dont think 300WHP is possible. Thats where the 380 or VF52 will come to play. Both are obviously more expensive than a used VF46 at this point.
