Does anyone know if there's any GT30R or GT35R turbo kits available for 08 WRX hatchback? Thanks.

Just curious, with so much power on the engine, why isn't a clutch on the list of mods? and the car didn't sound like one with aftermarket clutch.

Maybe the apparent wheel spin on "all 4 wheels" was a clutch slip, not a wheel spin.

Do you have your heart set on a one of those turbo's? check out these links...
http://www.blouchturbo.com/turbos/result/
http://www.boostplanet.com/product7.htm
http://store.forcedperformance.net/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=FP&Category_Code=WRX-Turbo

a custom setup isn't difficult.
for example...
Turbo with subaru bolt pattern
DownPipe
Ultimate-Racing FMIC with slightly modded hot pipe
Injectors
Spark Plugs
Big MAF or CAI
EM and Tune
Clutch :)

that's pretty much what i did.

ok, dumb question, how long are the engines on these cars going to last, running 20.8 psi on a semi-closed stock WRX block can't last all that long.
Ok, i quoted myself, which is kinda lame, but i'm really curious how long WRX engines last with all these extra power mods on them...my brother has an 05 WRX that he's thinking about upgrading, and I want to set him up with something that won't kill his engine in 15k miles.

i was talking to Ian from harman motive before i bought my turbo...

"The RA gearset is SUPPOSEDLY whats in the 05-08 legacy and
06-08 wrx. There are a few freak occurrences of breaking 3rd gear in the 06
wrx's but there are similarly built legacy's (which weigh more) with almost
no failures reported. If you were going to build the transmission, I would
talk to andrewtech over on the east coast. They have stronger gearsets such
as PPG that will work if you are really beating up the car. Just regular
driving or highway driving your car should be fine for a while. My legacy
(same transmission as you) makes 450whp and I have had zero trouble at
42,000 miles (knock on wood)."

As far as internals go, its all about the tune and the boost. IN MY OWN
OPINION anything over 26psi will last dramatically less than under 25psi.
How many miles is hard to say... We have made 560whp on stock motors many
times without longevity problems, but with increased cylindar pressures seen
at this psi, the pistons can rattle themselves so violently they can get a
hairline crack up the side causing oil to leak by.

At 350whp your engine should last tens of thousands of miles.

All opinions expressed are just that, opinions and are in no ways guarantees
or warrantys.

on the previous video before that when they tuned the vf40 on that same car they talked about the "Cluthmasters clutch breaking in well", and seems like you can see the camera going sideways from lateral car motion, dont think that was a clutchslip. to me seems like the roads are kinda wet too. crazy power

it looks pretty good. you could probably get away with a bigger TMIC if you dont want to throw down the $$ for their FMIC.

if you were worried about the heat, water/meth injection would help.
