First attempt at HDR using CS3 and photomatrix pro. I did purposely take this over the edge for that surreal/cartoony look. BTW, this was shot with a 3MP canon camcorder - I need an SLR in a bad way!!

That is a great pic. What is HDR? High Def something???

High dynamic range - You take multiple pictures with varying exposures (under, correct, over) and use software to manipulate them as layers, using the detail from the shadow and highlights merged to one picture.

That pic is trippy!

I have a Rebel XT that I rarely use it seems. I've been meaning to get some HDR shots. They'd really come in useful having a black car.

u inspired me to try hdr myself
here's my first hdr

i merged 6 images together

ur's looks better though
i think you need greater exposure differences. im no HDR pro though so its just an idea :)

actually i do have great exposure differences
it's just the way u adjust the picture settings
i can make it show more contrast but than it would block out my car too much

i think i need to find the right lighting to do a shot

I did these with shots from someone else's WRX :)

Original middle-exposure pic not taken by me:



I did these with just CS3, I think the result has less of the light halos when you use only CS3 and look at the picture from more of a artistic perspective and not a photomerge perspective.
