Tryin to gauge the warranty claim rate of the 3G Imprezas. Or really, a measure of non-reliaiblity. Inspired by the 09 problems I'm hearing. :(

Anyone who has turned their car in under the warranty, please describe:

1. The issue (problem) and how it came about
2. the solution (work done)
3. length of repair
4. satisfaction with outcome.
*edit* 5. MY and trim

For example:
1. Strange grinding noise noticed then 100 miles later the car wouldn't start.
2. Dealer found a bad clutch and replaced with a new one.
3. 3 days
4. Car is like new, $0 cost!
*edit* 5. 09 WRX sedan premium

Thanks to all!

FWIW, if you treat your car with respect, follow the service guidelines and don't beat the crap-ola out of it, it'll last. YMMV

1. The issue (problem) and how it came about: Turbo Charger Oil Supply Line
2. the solution (work done): Inspected for failure and dealership installed support bracket
3. length of repair: Less than an hour
4. satisfaction with outcome: yes

;D

1. The issue (problem) and how it came about: clutch went out at 15000 miles ( seems like the 08 clutches are shitty.... )
2. the solution (work done)... taking it to the shop in a few days
3. length of repair : soonish i hope.
4. satisfaction with outcome. this one depends if fit it or make me pay for it.

ok so my clutch did indeed go out... took it to subaru of austin. there serves tech opened it up looked at it, and they claimed that it was due to my driving ( im sure i did do a lil but wife learned to drive a clutch on it and really screwed it : ( ) so anyways what ended up happening was they called SOA and got me a "good faith " replacement. basicly SOA let them go ahead and replace my clutch for free as if it were a there fualt and not mine, and my car is back to new now.

turned my car into subaru of austin on black friday and they told me they couldnt even look at my car will monday, well monday night i got the call telling me my car was good to go and i could pick it up anytime after 730am on tuseday.

over all everuthing went well and subie still got my business!
