When you shut off the engine, does the 3g do a little wiggle from side to side as the Boxer winds down? On a similar note, does it shake side-to-side just a tad when you're idling at a light? These are the most important things I need to know before considering a 3g!! :D

mine does but that if i like stop and shake it myself.......and if its cold and you open the hood and have a friend stand in front of the car and start it it will shake too........ ;D

LOL, yep, it sure does do the 'wiggle' for me.

Certainly one of my fav characteristics of the car.

makes sipping drinks at a red light kind of complicated though :(
Which is why only clear, sugar free drinks are allowed in my baby 8)

AND NO EATING (just in case any of you ride with me someday, lol)

i believe the wiggle is caused because of the startup and shutdown of our horizontally opposed boxer style pistons vs aligned upright or in the v-shape

Good to hear! I am planning my path back into horizontally opposed land and this was always one of my favorite things about the car. 8)
