New girl and her car

Hey everyone!

I am the proud owner of a 2007 WRX. Her name is Pearl. ( I named her after I was told her paint color is pearlescent) She has no modifications done to her, yet....
I have always wanted one and an opportunity fell in my lap. I bought her from my brother, who could no longer drive her. She just hit 100,000 miles and has been great since the first day!

I am excited to learn more about my car and the things that I can do to make her faster and everything else!

Very awesome! That’s such a great year for this car! Maybe start small, like an intake and a cat-back exhaust. Things like that increase the driving experience without sacrificing reliability in my mind. Post some pics! Would love to see the car!

I'll get some pics of her today. She's pretty.
I'm trying to get somethings taken care of. I think s wheel bearing is out in the passenger back tire. There is a noise when I push the gas pedal down when driving, the noise goes away when I take my foot off the gas. Gonna get her to the mechanic to listen and try to figure out what's going on.

Any ideas??

How would you describe the noise? Is it metallic? Scraping? Whining? Grinding? Does it get louder the faster you go?
It's like a scraping noise. It doesn't get louder though. I had the front passenger axel replaced but that went smoothly. New seal for that as well.

My lay-person guess would be to agree with you and say potential wheel bearing! In my experience with the Subarus I’ve owned, wheel bearings were an often replaced component.
Yeah... it would be the second one, if that's it.
I just need to make sure she's good to go. She's my baby. Just had an alignment and new tires. Oil change. There's a noise coming getting the back too... it sounds like a donkey... only in first and second gear when slowing down or going from a stop. But not all the time. ..
Get it to the shop sooner than later :) then you’ll be worry free
Yup... that's the plan. I'll keep ya posted though.
Mmmmmmm....................things to make her faster................... Right on track.

Well... the clutch went out Saturday night. So..I dropped 800 on a new one. She's still at the shop. She made it home though. So after she's fixed up, I'm getting her detailed inside and out, as a you rock car!
LOL!!!

YOU ROCK CAR!!! Does it play guitar or drums?;)
She's a drummer. Lol.
No joke though, got me home. Just waiting for her to fixed up. I miss her. Next will be the back breaks.
