Adding to it‚Äôs diesel lineup of Legacy and Outback models in Europe (introduced this past summer), Subaru is hoping this will help meet the needs of a wider array of customers. The new models are introduced with Subaru‚Äôs improved Boxer Diesel and adopted closed-type particulate filter, as well as it‚Äôs improved 6-speed manual transmission improving both the vehicle‚Äôs fuel economy and emissions‚Äìthe 144hp Forester 2.0D has the lowest CO2 emission levels in the compact SUV category.
The 147 hp/ 258 ft-lb Impreza 2.0D will only be offered in the 5-door hatchback model.
Unfortunately there is still no official word on whether or not the boxer diesel will make its way state side any time soon.
