Nice ride.

Excuse my ignorance, but what do the AEM WideBand and TruBoost EBC do for you?

Re: OGB's Modded DGM 5 Door

here is a pic during the day, its not a very good one. i will take a new one tomorrow if i remember.

the wideband lets me monitor my Air/Fuel Ratio.
The TruBoost is an electronic boost controller (EBC), i changed the spring crack pressure on the wastegate and turned up the boost.

Re: OGB's Modded DGM 5 Door

nice ride! I'm guessing the exhaust is custom from the catback?
Yes sir it is. The BOV flange was custom made too, laser cut.

Re: OGB's Modded DGM 5 Door

Nice car, Nice gauge and can you tell me how your pod was installed? pics? ;)
i was going to use some velcro to hold it down, but it stays in place as is. no screws, no tape, no velcro... just gravity.

OGB:

Is your wastegate stock? If so how can you increase tension?
Does your aftermarket BOV give anymore power? - any pssshh sound? I didnt think so since you are recirc' ing it.

the wastegate is stock, but i can controll when it opens with the AEM TruBoost.
as for the BOV, if you have to tools to do a boost leak test... try it. un hook the recirc from the BOV and you will notice the stock boost leak. The aftermarket BOV elimated the boost leak and alowed me to turn up the boost a little. I originally had this Greddy BOV on my 97 Eclipse and it sounded great. So before i sold the car i took it off for use on my WRX. If i don't recirculate it, it sounds nice. But i didn't like what the A/F ratio was doing. With it recirculated i can barely hear it from inside the car.

Got the UR Cold Air Intake during lunch today.
i would have put it on after work, but the weather isn't cooperating.
maybe tomorrow. the original post has the picture.

Coop, put your's on first. i need to know if my car will blow up if i put mine on. :p
or should i do mine first and let you know if the A/F ratio is good?

hahaha. sure. anytime.

Yeah... Put yours on first and let me know if the AFR is good.
ok. i should have it on tomorrow after lunch, i have a short day of work.
my guess it that the AFR will be fine. with the cat back and more boost, the car is running good... just a little rich.
i dont expect it to go lean on me all of a sudden.

Re: OGB's Modded DGM 5 Door

Alright. Let me know. I am interested to see what it runs at.
ok, i got it on. the only tools you will need are a flat tip screwdriver, phillips screwdriver, 10mm wrench, and 10mm socket w/ long attachment.

Coop, you will be very happy with the way your car sounds. You can hear the turbo spool... sounds good. I am also able to hear my BOV with the recirc on. it's loud enough to let people know you have something under the hood. Pictures are up on the original post and my CarDomain.

The AFR is fine, nothing that you need to worry about. I will keep monitoring it.

Great. I didn't wait for your report. Just went ahead and did it. Sounds great. Glad to hear the AFR is good. I have the stock BOV on and I can hear it dumping the air back into the intake. The turbo really sounds good though. A very very good bolt on. I did have a little trouble with getting the silicone hose on the stock turbo inlet pipe. It was very difficult, it seemed that the hose was a little bit too small.
