I installed mine with tires still on (and lowered with STi pinks). It's a tight squeeze though

it's possible if you use a stubby screw driver. if you plan on doing the non-drill install, you can get away without removing the wheels.

BUT

it's best to remove the wheels so you can get access to everything easily.

I just lifted the rear of the car and put it on jack stands to install the rear. The wheels lower far enough so you can screw those bad boys in. I'm on STI Pinks if that matters.

man the non drill clamp method looks hard too without removing the rear wheels and the clamp method doesn't look too secure

you mean the drill method vs. clamp method?

the clamps are very secure... they dig into the steel. unless you're doing competition rallying (in which case you should contact RA for competition style flaps)... both methods will be just fine... it's just a matter of preference (if you want it clamped or screwed it -- the latter being even more secure)
