I want to make my "suby" somewhat "rally inspired"!

But they really don't make any rally tires for stock 17" rims (that I know about), and I don't really have the cash flow to buy new rims.

Anybody have any ideas?? (Tire Brand/Size)

Yeah.. dirt rally tires are traditionally 15". They're bad to drive on the street with because of the ultra hard sidewalls.. and since they're usually a soft compound, most will not last long driven on pavement.

Buy tires that fit the environment you drive in... and your own driving style.

Here's a good thread over on NASIOC that might give you more insight into what people are using for Rallycross:

if you're just looking for something that'll handle well in dirt, get some used snow tires and beat those up. they have similar characteristics to dirt tires.

your best bet is all-season or summer performance tires that handle wet pavement.
