Hi,

I have a n00b electrical question.

If I am installing a SPT boost gauge and a wideband air/fuel gauge (AEM), can I technically tap into the plug and play harness from the SPT boost gauge for the air/fuel gauge to provide power or should I buy the add a fuse and run it that way for the air/fuel gauge? Any positives and or negatives for tapping into the plug and play harness? I don't want to tap into the plug and play harness and then start blowing out fuses or cause a short but would it?

Thanks.

Whatever you do, don't use the power from the radio like my installer did. I have AEM gauges that didn't have a harness like the SPT and now all my AM stations have this annoying hum. Makes it hard to listen to my SFGiants. Since the radio/bezel was off to run the wiring thru the firewall the power from the headunit was accessible. I may have him redo it.

Good luck with the install, I'm waiting for pics!!!
