You should not have to tune it with just the SPT cat-back. I have heard that any SPT product is supposed to work w/o tuning, and that they are still covered under warranty. I don't know if running stage 1 w/it will make a difference or not.

This is notes on the Cobb stage 1 map and you will be fine.

Compatible with the New AccessPORT
Calibration Name: Stage1 93 MTv101
Latest Calibration Rev: 1.01
Calibration and Calibration Notes Updated: 04/24/08
Description: Stage1 93 MTv101 - Intended for a 2008 Subaru WRX MT
otherwise stock vehicle with a stock or cat-back exhaust, STOCK
INTAKE SYSTEM, and STOCK INTAKE FILTER ONLY. 93 or 94 octane petrol.
Boost Targets: ~13psi peak boost pressure tapering down to ~9psi by
the 6700 RPM redline, +/- 0.8psi.
Hardware Requirements: Otherwise stock vehicle with a STOCK INTAKE
SYSTEM ONLY. The addition of any other hardware may make the vehicle
perform poorly.
Fuel Requirement: 93 or 94 octane. If detonation is present, you
should use octane booster or switch to a calibration developed for a
lesser quality fuel, Stage1 91 MTv101 or Stage1 ACN91 MTv101.
Power Output: +9% HP / +10% lb-ft. Results may vary.
Boost Targets: ~13psi +/- 0.psi peak boost pressure tapering down to
~9psi by 6700 RPM redline, depending on vehicle and conditions. If
your vehicle is not achieving or exceeding the boost targets, you
may need to mechanically adjust your boost control system, please
refer to this document “How Subaru’s Factory Boost Control System
Works v1.X” for instructions. Boost cut at sea level is increased to
15.5 psi.

Re: Stage 1 with cat back?

stage 1 with a CBE will be fine.

now if you were to get a turbo back exhaust without tuning, you would probably have boost spike issues.

If this is posted somewhere I am sorry but I just can't find any info. I just got the Cobb Access Port from Perrin and I've got a couple of questions, one what is the ACN map? And two I have an AVO drop in filter and it looks like I can't use the stage 1 map with that in? So I should take it out and put the stock filter back in? What would happen if I left it in? It seems like this was a dumb mod then (the air filter I mean) do I have to get a custom map if I use it??? Please help?? Also there's a lot of stuff in the Cobb Software that I don't understand does anyone know a place to get some info on it?
