So there is a stickied version of this, here goes, stock wheel and tire info for the 2008:

These are USDM specific, models from other countries may vary.

2008 2.5i Impreza (Premium alloys, not steelies with hubcaps):

16x6.5 inch wheels, 55mm offset, 5 X 100 bolt pattern, wrapped with Bridgestone RE92A, 205/55R16.

Wheels with Tire pressure sensor (with no tires) weigh approximately 20.2 lbs each

205/55R16 RE92A tires weigh 21 lbs each

2008 WRX Impreza

17x7 inch wheels, 55mm offset, 5 X 100 bolt pattern, wrapped with Bridgestone RE92A, 205/50R17

Wheels with Tire Pressure Sensor (with no tires) weigh approximately 23.2 lbs each

205/50R17 RE92A tires weigh 22 lbs each

18x8.5 inch alloys, 5 X 114.3 bolt pattern

Standard wheel: 55mm offset, 25 lbs

Optional BBS wheel: 55mm offset, 20.5 lbs

245/40R18 tires, Dunlop Sport 600 tires, 26 lbs

This sticky was lacking info on newer model years so posting this great reference for detailed wheel size info. Plus I am too lazy to cut and paste it all directly into this post ;D

I found cars101.com to be a good resource when I was researching buying a WRX and continue to use it for hard to find specs. This site is managed by a guy who works at a Seattle Subauru dealer http://www.cars101.com/subaru/contact.html so while not "official" I consider it to be reasonably authoritative.
