Re: Pearl White '08

I was fortunate enough to have the sport grille come with the car :)

As for the accident, I rather not talk about it! Although, I did speak with the body shop and they are saying Friday but with no promises. If I don't get it till Monday than it would be a 3 week repair and 3 weeks of me having to walk every where. :-\

Should be getting my car back from the shop tomorrow. Also, have a d-wolf clutch kit coming in to test it and see if it actually helps with shifting.

Got the car back today and it looks newer than new! Well, atleast the one side + front bumper does.

Autometer Instrument Bezel does not fit the new 08's :(

Re: Pearl White '08 Project

Since people are wondering... Long story short, nice long sweeper left hand turn going up hill on a dirt road. Was doing a mild drift as a sharp left was at the top that I didn't realize was there and went into a hill side.

As for detailed description of damage... Front right tire came off the rim (part of the sidewall was damaged but the tire still works alright...) Back Right had some gravel/grass between the rim/tire but no damage to the actual tire. Both rims were replaced as they were scuffed/nicked heavily. Front bumper and Side Skirt were replaced. The body where you attached the skirt was dented so they had to fix that up. There were some small cracks on the body where the doors are. And the rear bumper just needed to get new holes to reattach it to the body again. It was an expensive fix for the insurance company but at least I have a clean front bumper with no bug splatter any more ;D

This is why you need the Co-pilot!! But yeah, that's one way to get rid of the bugs on the bumper. :D

Sad thing was, I had 3 others in the car. Passenger was obviously no help and the people in back, well I was ignoring them.

I love it! It's a great improvement, and best part of all is I was able to delete a couple pounds with taking some stuff off around the shifter it self also!

Still waiting for a wider variety of mods to come out so I have a chance to see which ones I would like instead of buying the first stuff to come out. I'm debating still how to tune my car... any input on this would be great :)

I'm one for using "open source" software to reprogram your ECU. Its free and its probably the most bang for the buck! well, you'll have to pay the tuner though...

Downpipe would be best. It takes away the most restrictive part out of the car, also the uppipe would be good. Then retune the car and there would be a big jump in performance.

Re: Pearl White '08 Project

Update:

Two different pictures of the same door ding. I love fucking idiots. I have no idea who it is or when it happened. I'm guessing it was sometime last night while I was at work...

Also, it is the size of a quarter... there was a minor scratch that should just buff out on the rear passenger door also. I'm assuming it's from the same car. Luckily I have no idea who it is because they would been beaten if they wouldn't have paid for repairs...

That sucks. It looks like one of those dings you would get from a person carrying too many shopping bags while opening their car door too quickly without paying attention.
