I reguarly look at Legacy GT.com for a couple of reasons. One, I didn't decide between a WRX and a Legacy GT until I walked into the showroom and two, since our cars are similar, I find info like this which might be important to some of you building up you engines...

That thread makes me question if I should run the stage 1 map from perrin (~16 psi) with the stock TMIC. Thanks for the post. Food for thought.

My mechanic did warn me about the stock intercooler falling apart if i increase the boost, increasing the heat, and go onto the track.

I'm still listening to his advise. Holding off any boost upgrade till i get my FMIC..

There are also thin rubber O-rings instead of gaskets and don't forget about the stock boost leak from the BOV.

i think if you plan on boosting higher than stage 2, you should consider upgrading the intercooler and BOV.
