I've taken a look at the WRX on the USA website and my Singapore Subaru website (our WRX is from UK).

USA WRX
224 hp
226 lb-ft (306 NM)at 2800 rpm

SG(UK) WRX
230hp
320 NM (236 lb-ft) at 2800 rpm

The difference between the 2 is really the amount of torque.

I think the difference is due to the different turbocharger used in the US and UK WRX. the TD04 vs the VF37 respectively.

Anyone can confirm that? Got my data from a 60% reliable source.

Might be a difference in the emission control system maybe ?

Well I live in Europe so i have european version of WRX. Ive got in my WRX 230 hp and 320 NM and the chassis is more stiffer than US version.

Yeah... That maybe so, but I pay less tax on the car here in the US and the difference can really make the car go a whole hell of a lot faster and handle better.

The US power specs for the 08 are underated
