This has been put up on another board but I thought it might help any of you guys that want it. I used to find that I sometimes wondered whether I had actually locked the car. Sure you'd here the "clunk" of the locks but it also sounds like an unlock. This little trick actually makes the alarm make a little chirp so your sure and it isn't too loud. It also lets you know you've opened the boot or left the bonnet up. Procedure is as follows:
Turning On/off the arm/disarm indicator tones:
. Arm and then disarm the security system using the vehicle's RKE
(if the RKE is no operational the security system can still be armed or disarmed using the keypad. Press a button to wake up the keypad and illuminate the buttons, the enter the PIN to arm and again to disarm the system.)
. If the Key Theft Protection has been selected on the security system then at this point it will be necessary to press a button to wake up the keypad and illuminate the buttons, then enter the PIN to unset the immobiliser.
(if the keypad was previously used to arm/disarm the system the the keypad buttons may still be illuminated, in which case the PIN can be entered immediately without having to wake the keypad)
. Press a button to wake the keypad and illuminate the buttons if they are not illuminated then enter the following:
* 1 7 8 5 6 This is the programming number- the siren will bleep
Then * 0 0 0 This is the function code for the Arm/disarm indication tones
Then to turn on the feature * 1 or to turn off * 0
Then # ( This will program the new request and will also exit the program mode-confirmed by a bleep )
Hope this of some help. I like it.
