in that video you will see the location. it is under the ic, back by the turbo at the top of the block. hope that helps...

 

Yeah that helped, I found it...thanks my friend ! alhough I could not remove to check because i am missing my deep socket 3/4 inch ! I was going to spray it out, getting a lot of white smoke from exhaust and not seeing any oil on ground or under plastics....

 

wish i knew the tsb number but there was a recall on the pcv's for the eariler wrx's

Dealer called, bearing in turbo bad, shaft loosened up and broke seal, hence oil getting through and smoking out exhaust......new turbo going in covered under warranty

Seeing smoke from my exhaust as well. Don't see any oil stains on the ground. Did you ever check the PCV? Anything else I can check before I take it into the dealer?

 

what color smoke?? is the car using oil?

 

whitish, definitely using oil and definitely smells like burning oil instead of coolant (not sweet smell)

 

not good. are you still building good boost? sounds like cracked ringlands or bad turbo seals.

 

Was building boost fine. But I haven't been pushing at all, been trying to stay out of boost today. Compression/leakdown test tomorrow, but figured I ask around first.
